Moonlit Wanderings

Camping at night, you are lulled to sleep by the soft sounds of cicadas and crickets. The stars in the moonlit sky are the last things you see before you drift into a peaceful slumber.

Using a water plane with low diffusion and low reflectivity gives the water an illusion of depth. The moon image, provided by Bryce, in the sky editor allows for an extra special-looking moon. It takes a little time to position the moon just right - a little high on the horizon and it's not in the picture, and just a little too low on the horizon will bring the sun up and ruin your night effects. If you want to make sure your stars are visible, turn up their intensity and lower the brightness of the moon - as you can see in this picture, it's very easy for the moon to be too bright for stars to be seen.
